Effective teams are very similar and share common signs. So, it is very fair to say that any leader, for any team, at any level, needs to set aside time and focus for change and development (strategic leadership), creating internal agreement and process discipline (operative leadership), have a clear direction and a “how” (driving leadership) and plenty of opportunities for everyone to engage and take the lead (enabling leadership). But the actual behaviors, and the extent and nature of these needs are different in different context. Those differences are captured by using the team themselves as reviewers and therefore the “source of truth” in terms of getting insights into what needs to change to get even more out of the team.
